Flower Shop

This is a card I made for a friends birthday recently, it was the first time I had made the vellum embossed flowers that are so popular at the moment. In this card I stamped and embossed the flowers, cut them out and coloured them on the reverse with the marker pens. Then I stuck them to punched out flowers using the coordinating punch and cardstock. Main reason for this was the only vellum I had was very thin and the flowers were curling after embossing, since making this card I found it works better with thicker vellum but I still like the way this card turned out. I used the Chalk Talk die to cut out a area on the front and the stamped image is behind to create a 3d look, bit hard to see from photo.

Products used:

Stamps: Flower Shop, Script, Notable Notions { sentiment from stash}
Dies: Chalk Talk, Finishing Touches edgelits
Punches: Pansy, Bird { for the leaves}
Inks: Strawberry Slush, Crumb Cake, Black, Versamark
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe
Extras: Vellum, White embossing powder, gems, Coastal Cabana ruffled ribbon, Marker pens in Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana and Crisp Cantaloupe

Expanding the Hexagon Hive die

 Finally I have some cards to show, been waiting for birthdays to pass before I can post them on here. I am still loving the Hexagon Hive die but I wanted to expand the die to make into 6x6 cards, which are my favorite. So I cut the die on white card and matted onto Crumb Cake and then cut down through the two where my panel of patterned paper was going to go. The matted onto the Real Red card. These two cards are similar, the first one for my Daughter-in-law, so I picked a die cut to fit the size of the wording.

 The second card for by friend Kerry uses one of the stamps from the free SAB set You're Lovely. I love the papers, the colours go so well together. Its a 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" pad so great for UK sized cards. I just added some little Black pearls from my stash in the centers.

Products used:

Dies: Hexagon Hive, Chalk Talk,
Stamps: Petite Petals, You're Lovely, For my family
Inks: Black, Real Red, Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake
Punch: Bird Builder { leafs}1 3/4" circle punch
Cardstock: Real Red, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Black
Ribbon: Coastal Cabana Ruffled Trim

Flower shop

I had another birthday card to make last week and Flower Shop stamp set had been delivered before Christmas and I had not had the chance to use it. There is a co-ordinating punch but for this card I just used the stamps.
I cut a panel of White card and stamped a sentiment on the bottom and then stamped a few of the designs randomly on the cardstock. I made a thin mat in Black cardstock and finished off with some gems.
Products used:
Stamps: Flower Shop, Blooming with Kindness {sentiment}
Inks: Wisteria Wonder, Pear Pizzazz, Bermuda Bay, Black
Extras: Gems
